Kalimpong is also known for Horticulture and its flower loving residents.
Even though the houses are small and tenement like at times, you see people growing flowers lusciously in every conceivable place and containers of all sizes... Its really intriguing to see how they tend to it...
They grow a lot of hibiscus.. roses.. salvia... geraniums... in addition to the tulsi (basil)
... The flowers grown were the ones which could be maintained with minimum attention...
We visited a nursery that had a predominant display of cacti

Wherever we went we had the visual treat of Kanchenjunga and the fellow peaks along the range.With a last look at Kanchenjunga from Kalimpong we hit the road...
