Wandering along Kanchenjunga Day 7 Part 4

Day 7 Part 4

Our next stop was the tea gardens... It's wide expanse of tea shrubs were very pleasant to look at... Looks like a well manicured garden...

     picture of a tea flower...

                                                                                                                                                       ~~~ oOo ~~~
The last stop was the shopping area, Mall road... Mall Road is a mountain walkway the British families once used for leisure strolls to enjoy the sheer serenity and the best views that Darjeeling has to offer. That's a vehicle free zone... it's actually a loop, that starts from the Chowrasta Mall, the main square, goes around the Observatory and returns to the Mall itself.
So there are two entries to this road from the Mall. The Mall road is also known as Bhanubhakta Sarani named after the Nepali national poet whose statue is erected on the Mall where the road begins.
Near the statue is an open air arena. Very pleasant atmosphere... Very relaxing... You see some  with their families taking a stroll, some others  exercising, yet others
jogging, running this loop of about a mile several times. You do see yet some more, more interested in their smart phones than the Nature and its beauty. Along the Nehru Road one sees the shops and the  hawkers...
We could see the clouds looming up in the distance, as the breeze turned chill, so decided to check out Kanchenjunga... We could see the mist drifting towards it...
Here is a sequence as we watched...
 That was Day 7...
     ~~~ oOo ~~~
